The 1956 Chevrolet holds a significant place within the lineup commonly referred to as the "Tri-Fives." It occupies the middle position between the groundbreaking 1955 model and subsequent iterations. The '56 Chevy came in three distinct models: the luxurious Bel Air at the top, the mid-range Two-Ten series, and the entry-level One-Fifty. Priced at $1,971, more than 56,000 Del Ray Club Coupes were sold in 1956. Although part of the Two-Ten series, the Del Ray received interior enhancements, such as all-vinyl seats with additional foam rubber padding, a lighted glove compartment, two door armrests, and carpeting instead of rubber mats. Even today, the '56 Del Ray remains a popular choice, often sporting an updated appearance with stylish large-diameter wheels and low-profile tires.
