HMS Victory, a majestic ship of the line belonging to the Royal Navy, was commissioned in 1758, construction commenced in 1759, and she was launched in 1765. Renowned for her pivotal role as Lord Nelson's flagship during the momentous Battle of Trafalgar on October 21, 1805, she has left an indelible mark in history.

Throughout her illustrious career, she also served as the flagship for notable figures such as Keppel at Ushant, Howe at Cape Spartel, and Jervis at Cape St Vincent. However, her duties eventually transitioned to that of a harbor ship following 1824.

In 1922, she found her resting place in a dry dock at Portsmouth, Great Britain, where she was carefully preserved and transformed into a museum ship. Since October 2012, she has held the prestigious title of flagship for the First Sea Lord. A testament to her enduring legacy, she currently stands as the world's oldest naval vessel still in active service, with an impressive tenure of 243 years as of 2021.
